The Institute aims to:

1) Develop a conceptual understanding of the fields of sexuality and human rights, their inter-linkages and their connections with issues of gender and health.

2) Build analytical skills to critically examine how various programs, strategies and practices in the field of sexuality and reproductive health affirm or violate the rights of individuals, especially of adolescents and women.

3) Create a new generation of leaders who will incorporate concepts from these four inter-related fields into planning and working in issues of sexuality.
